The Lion’s Scared Silence

After delving into the world of sketches from an old master’s book, I chose a simple captivating front side drawing of a lion on its stroll.  Although not much can be seen from the differences in between the shoulder blades while the lion is having its graceful ‘cat walk’, I still adjusted these details while creating the fur textures of its magnificent mane.   The last stage involved refining the whole drawing and its surrounding to create the character of a middle-aged lion with all its grandeur, fearlessness, slowly getting ready for an ambush although he was hurt last time by an eagle, leaving him with a bruised ear.
